Smiles for Lymphoma foundation was founded by Dr. Steven Haase and his wife Mary Haase in 2015. Dr. Haase self-diagnosed two small pea-sized lymph nodes, one in his left neck and one in his right side groin area nearly one year prior to his seeking professional opinion in March 2011 which ultimately lead to the definitive diagnosis of stage4, B-cell Follicular Lymphoma. With a wait and watch diagnosis, numerous CATScans and blood draws over four years, Dr. Haase has
remained healthy with the help of high doses of specialized Mushroom antioxidants and raw juicing on a daily basis. Thus far, his Lymphoma remains dormant and he attributes that to a combination of his daily regimen of antioxidants and raw vegetable juice, exercise, prayer and meditation.
Their wish is to fund research that can utilize these types of therapies in conjunction with supervised non-toxic, proven medical therapies resulting in successful cures and improved long term prognosis for lymphoma patients.
