Smiles for Lymphoma is a non-profit organization focused on financing the development of a cure for people with all types of lymphoma and dedicated to funding research leading to lifesaving and permanent cessation of this disease. Our mission is to provide a health-based, non-detrimental standard for curing lymphoma while preserving the long term health of the patient.
Our Founders: Dr. Steven and Mary Haase formed Smiles for Lymphoma in the fall of 2015, four years after Dr. Haase’s initial diagnosis of stage 4, B-Cell Follicular Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma with the purpose of finding successful biocompatible and less toxic cures for Lymphoma outside of the corridors of historic treatment modalities. Furthermore, Dr. Haase’s long term career in dentistry built on making patients smile inspired the name, Smiles for Lymphoma, in the hopes of bringing smiles to people dealing with Lymphoma. Their goal is to provide support, education and successful cures for all types of Lymphoma. Dr. Haase is the president of SFL and Mary serves as Executive Director. More than just a Cure: More than just focusing on the cure, SFL wishes to increase public awareness of this blood cancer and to provide needed services for the nearly one million people living with Lymphoma in the USA and the near 100,000 newly diagnosed people each year as well as their families.
